Aftera visit to the Toronto Biennial, students were encouraged to make a mark on alarge sheet of paper to record something they saw or remembered. Every twominutes, the student would move to the next spot and continue to make othermarks or draw over the marks made by others. This activity helped students drawwithout fear of failure, as the canvas was already messy.

Students were encourages to think about spirulina cultures as co-collaborators and take a bottle home to take care of them.
